Recap: Quality Engineering and Testing in the Age of AI Meetup

Our recent meetup, Quality Engineering and Testing in the Age of AI, held on 30th May 2024, at Kablamo's office in Toronto, was a resounding success. We had an incredible turnout, engaging discussions, and insightful presentations. Here's a quick recap of the event.

Event Highlights

The event kicked off with an Acknowledgement of Country, followed by a warm welcome and an overview of the agenda.

I had the honor of attending an event at Kablamo in Toronto for a Quality Engineering meetup, and yes, as their name suggests, they were super awesome! Although an insider told me The Simpsons inspired the name—if you know, you know. 
This meetup was truly eye-opening for me. Before attending, I was biased and thought QA analysts were going out of their way to break the code and find problems. Little did I know, there’s a whole process and workflow involved, and QA is vital to the company—kind of like red flag flaggers.

Huge thanks to Anna Royzman , Nadya Shupta, and Rob Bowyer for sharing their knowledge. Special shoutout to automation experts Liam Maguire, Davis Zhu, and Alena Smiatanina for providing insights into Kablamo's innovative testing methods.

I did enjoy the event. I was in waitlist - glad you guys opened a spot for me. 

I especially enjoyed Rob's and Anna's topics. The former's engaging Q&A and the latter's survey of test process and how AI could be used. I liked how your QA engineers do automation (sounds to me like a productive team).
