Who are you, and what do you do?

I'm Ian Mckay, and I'm the Cloud Lead at Kablamo.

What hardware do you use?

I'm currently switching between a 24" M1 iMac with 16GB of RAM, and a 13" M1 MacBook Pro. The M1 chips are as good as people say!

For the iMac, I use a Magic Trackpad and everything else as standard. For the MacBook Pro, I'm using the integrated keyboard and trackpad.

Whether I'm on a Zoom/Teams/Huddle/Chime meeting, or simply rocking out to myself, I'll usually have my Bose QuietComfort 20's plugged in.

And what software?

What would be your dream setup?

I'm not usually too fussed about my setup, though I would like to eventually reach a stage where I'm using a completely cloud-hosted workstation. The realities of Australian internet make this pretty infeasible at the moment unfortunately.
